Pilgrim 04:11
Will This Pilgrim Progress by Ed E Embark on this journey Never thought I'd take Started this pilgrimage To the revered estate I cringe at comparisons While boarding the plane Contemplating clouds How does the soul change? Will this pilgrim progress From destruction to heaven Collecting the stones that were thrown At Saint Stephen A stray smudge left By unconscious hope Walking where they walked Haunts of our Heroes Some morsel of essence It's the business of history Bought by ancient impulse Entertainment disguised as Piety Will this pilgrim progress From destruction to heaven Collecting the stones that were thrown At Saint Stephen The motive is devotion Nothing here to earn I'm not here for research I'm a desperate pilgrim The rain falls On the obscure & famous Truth does not change Over time & space All I want is a flashlight in this dark room All I want is a river in this desert of gloom All I want is relief from this land of pain All I want is cleansing of this stain ------ Will this pilgrim progress From destruction to heaven Collecting the stones that were thrown At Saint Stephen

Lips 03:37
Her Lips Said Yes, But Her Heart Pounded No by Ed Englerth She was extremely young, she didn't feel young She thought everything would be great She was twelve, she became a teen It was like a leap of faith She loved to do things Share deep secrets with her best friends She had a good family, taught her right from wrong She was sensible or so it seemed He was older and so popular Talented and the center of attention She was overwhelmed he'd noticed her She was his selection And he said I love you I love you And I want you to know He said do you love me She did not reply Now she'd had friends but not this many lots of people wanted to talk She noticed the boys want her now She told them all to walk Her boy was older and so popular Talented and the center of attention She was overwhelmed he'd noticed her She was his selection And he said I love you I love you And I want you to know He said do you love me She did not reply So she showed her love She was violated She was innocent no longer She broke up with him He asked her back But there was no longer any splendor A few days later he was “in love” So to speak, with someone else She was used She was drowned with shame She was swallowed up by guilt She was alone He'd been older and so popular Talented and the center of attention She'd been overwhelmed he'd noticed her She'd been his selection And he said I love you I love Her lips said yes as her heart said no Her lips said yes as her heart said no And now her hearts so cold She's afraid to love and afraid to be loved Her lips said yes as her heart said no Her lips said yes as her heart said no He lips whispered yes as her heart pounded no She was extremely young She finally realized how young She thought everything would be great She was twelve n' turned thirteen and it was like a leap of faith.

Is No One To Blame by Ed E Is no one to blame for all this pain For this emptiness that we maintain Is no one to blame For the wars that rage For the hate we hurl Is never gauged *. Am I okay are we both the same are you okay is no one to blame Is no one to blame For the coldness we feel When everyone's okay There's no one to heal Is no one to blame For the results we see Wasted lives Unmet needs. * In this world are we all the same Do we stand Where We Belong Is there really no one to blame Something's sure gone wrong ** That's ridiculous that's insane that's Insidious That'll be our bane

Wish You Were Here by Ed E Just across town From the job I work each day I’ve got an apartment And a red Chevrolet I’ve got a DVR to catch my videos So it won’t seem so empty When I get home * I so often wish that you were here To touch my fevered brow And calm my worst fears The same familiar scenes Moment to moment The money comes n’ goes For bills and rent Makes my outside hard Turns my outside in I close my eyes And try to breathe again * Won’t you love me? Past emotional poverty Won’t you love me? And help these eyes to see Won’t you love me? Isolation takes time to heal Won’t you love me? Help my unbelief * *

Ed To Pam 03:11
Ed To Pam by Ed Englerth We talked the night away But nothing was said You spoke to me in words of Black n Red Neither of us can say What we do this for And get up in the morning And close the circle once more All you're asking of me Is a little of my time If this moment is money There's not much we can buy You don't feel for me What I feel for you If you see beyond responses They're found untrue This is Ed to Pam I am who I am You're the same as me And that's the Irony If you want to want me Then understand I'm not a hero Just an ordinary man I don't play mind games I don't play dice I wouldn't gamble With our love at any price This is Ed to Pam I am who I am You're the same as me And that's the Irony Change a phrase here or there And insert each other's names Change the time the date the place We're not the only ones the same //: This is Ed to Pam I am who I am You're the same as me And that's the Irony :// (2nd time.. ) and yet we both fail to see.

Behind An Old Forgotten Wall by Ed E I had written a love song o tell you just how I felt and I thought I'd finally captured what I'd always meant to tell but now I simply can't remember just how my love was told the music and the melody in my mind has gone so cold still my love for you is burning still for you I'd give my all //: Still for you my love waiting Behind an old forgotten wall :// In some ways I feel I understand you in other I know you not at all The hope that I keep within me Is that somehow you will break down my wall //: still my love for you is burning still for you I'd give my all Still for you my love waiting Behind an old forgotten wall ://

Turning To You by Ed Englerth God is whispering tonight Though the music's playing loud And I can hear every word Even in this crowd No one understands as well As the one who made my heart The reason it's breaking Is it's missing a part //: Turning to you :// 3X It's no use trying to run I've been through that hell No matter where I go You know me oh so well There's a hole inside of me I've tried everything to fill Nothing heals the pain Only you ever will //: Turning to you :// 3X I listen I don't speak I can't move I feel so weak You're reaching out to me Your touch is all I need //: Turning to you :// 3X Turning to you close as a heartbeat Turning to you close as a prayer Turning to you and you'll be there

Connect by Ed Englerth The night of nights - a low low tide - life's sure long - In this killing fog – Lights passing by Not trying to hide - We hold each other - Seems like forever - I want to connect - I want your touch - Just one time - Won't be enough – I want us to last - I want to know you - I want to connect - I need rescued – I want to know who you are - - Connect direct - I'll give all I am - I'll plead and I'll beg – At every attempt - It's gets so intense - Sweat pours through my soul - And yet I'm so cold – I am not alone - It's touch and go - I'll fight till I die - Don't say good night

Remind Me 03:54
Remind Me (you're my home) by Ed Englerth I don't want to sing I don't want to cry It's hard to live when Nothing coincides I'm almost blind In this light I reach out I need you tonight Remind me Use the telephone A billboard Or cheap cologne Use the man on the street Let yourself be know Remind me that You're my home Face grows old Friends depart By grace alone I've still got a heart My eyes still open Although I squint They've predicted the worst It ain't happened yet Remind me Use the telephone A billboard Or cheap cologne Use the man on the street Let yourself be know Remind me that You're my home My mind tends to forget The lessons that are most important My best years are already spent I pray I'm not an embarrassment //: Remind me Use the telephone A billboard Or cheap cologne Use the man on the street Let yourself be know Remind me that You're my home :// //: You're my home :// (repeat n fade)

Revolution 03:44
What Kind Of Revolution by Ed E The halls of justice Are empty and cold Their concept of right Comes from below We elect, representatives To a Congress of futility What kind of revolution Church trades God For another She's working on Love As a debtor The artist reflects Through a darkened glass To interpret the view A perpetual task What kind of revolution Something deep down is shaking me God, what are you doing There's a revolution raging inside I hear your voice calling What kind of revolution Is coming down What kind of revolution You taking about What kind of revolution Listen for that sound What kind of revolution Hear somebody shout What kind of revolution Some just want out.

Working Girl (prostitutes song) by Ed Englerth She's a Working Girl She ain't got time for love It's been a long life It's lasted a whole eight months She never thought of this When she began Just down on luck And a heart of pain Those who said they loved her Never took the time When they heard her story Well how could she be so unkind They thought she reflected Dirt upon their name They never took a minute Except to give her the blame She's not just a working girl She's a human being n' She deserves respect From you n' me Where will she turn When the trouble comes When there's no refuge And it won't let up Evening falls And she's all alone So it's back on the street It's her only home She's not just a working girl She's a human being n' She deserves respect From you n' me We can not continue To causally toss her aside Or the father will treat us the same So let's open our hearts wide She's not just a working girl She's a human being n' She deserves the truth From you n' me She's not just a working girl She's a human being n' She may have made mistakes So have you n me She's not just a working girl She's got human feelings n' She needs Jesus Just like you n me She's not just a working girl She deserves the best God's love and forgiveness She's just like the rest Just like you n' me You n me You n' me n' the working girl

Fall of the Wild - by Ed Englerth The panther walks In the sunshine state To the vanishing point The condos won't wait Black rhinoceros Are killed for their horn For North Yemen's daggers They're almost gone //:It's the fall of the wild:// Between Chinese development And the desire for Giant Panda pelts There's less than a thousand Of these slow breeders left //:It's the fall of the wild:// Within 50 years One-quarter of the world's species could be gone Will we destroy the world? Before we see what's wrong //:It's the fall of the wild:// When we talk about living sustainable & how we can take steps of self-management to be able to live on the income not depleting the capital that supplies the income. The same lesson applies to earth capital that supplies all of life on earth But short-sighted economist would rather kill the goose that lays the golden egg clamming human ingenuity & technology will somehow raise the goose back to life. However human depravity will only strangle it again. //:It's the fall of the wild:// Soil erosion, deforestation, overgrazing adversely affect productivity in farming, forestry, livestock sectors. This slows overall economic growth. These are agriculturally based economies. And how is it that we fight over oil and yet pay more for water. There are substitutes for oil. But with water, there are no substitutes. With ozone-depleting denial we’ll soon all live in the ultraviolet zone of reality. Sunburns, cataracts, skin cancers these are already increasing in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Argentina, & Chile. Australian TV broadcast daily UV levels so people will know the best days to commit slow-motion suicide. //:It's the fall of the wild://

Sin Kills 03:19
Sin Kills by Ed E * Sin kills and it's no big secret It's been like that since the beginning of time It seems like it'd be obvious by now Maybe we've grown up blind This world is crumbling around us We've turned our backs on God We've dreamed our dreams They all seemed right But nothing's right * If we want to see The walking dead Just open our eyes We die a little more every day As we walk away* If we say we don't sin we lie If we refuse the savior we die * *

Under The Word by Ed Englerth What do I do when the battle fades When the clash of armor is but a memory I see the blood-red dawn do I cry or sing This battle's over now the war begins //: Under the word Under the word Of our God and king :// 2X What you see now is not what you get This is a shadow beyond a vale of regret The every day of every day is where we spend our time A manifestation in the daily grind //: Under the word under the word Of our God and king :// 2X The sound rings empty if we in ourselves If it rests in the flesh it burns in hell . . . (lead) //: Under the word under the word Of our God and king :// 4X What do I do when the music fades When the crash of guitars is but a memory I see the blood-red dawn do I cry or sing This song is over here is where it all begins //: Under the word under the word Of our God and king :// 2X

Tonight 04:07
Tonight by Ed Englerth You sat down across from me The room was warmed by kerosene We sat quite still the music played And we are both past our teens Isolated by our silence Friends intervene on our behalf An openhearted night is past A soft touch a relaxed laugh We came to share our solitude Hesitations were overruled I took you home Now I'm alone . . . tonight We spent several days together And the rain poured down outside Spoke of friends and situations And our nights were occupied We came to share our solitude Hesitations were overruled I took you home Now I'm alone . . . tonight Restlessness slid it's head in the door With both withdrew and closed our eyes The physical does not satisfy the soul Why believe the lies We came to share our solitude Hesitations were overruled I took you home Now I'm alone . . . tonight Now I'm here all alone I'm alone tonight In a world like this There's no reason I'm alone tonight No matter how many Or how consistent It was always so cold there in my bed All that's let is discontent I'm alone tonight Alone . . . . . . . . . tonight

The Longing – by Ed Englerth Wishing to be compatible - To have his cake n’ eat in peace – Wanting not to wait - To escape this night of grief – Longing to walk in freedom - Longing to trust n love – Longing for a reason - Longing fro the renaissance – Bruised n blue - His back is sore n stiff – His fingers touch welts - That cannot be hid (Chorus) Understanding isn’t mercy - Still lost in his old neighborhood – Nothing’s changed in all these years – New friends for old friends - The future is sold cheap – A slave to his old desires – The world’s secrets - A snare for the fallen n found – A bludgeoned soul laid open - Eyes shut tight he recoils (Chorus)

You'd Think We'd Catch On by Ed Englerth I watch the sunrise but I can't feel the rays I've grown numb washing cafeteria trays What a way to live I see my life spent The all-night diner is my investment Who put these rules into action These rules that we follow, by who were they sanctioned There's something I've noticed I'm embarrassed to mention But since there's a pattern you'd think we'd catch on And it's six nights a week And it's two blocks from home And there's one day off And It's spent all alone There's a girl at the diner Her man set her free Not too bad looking She see's nothing in me Well who put these rules into action These rules that we follow, by who were they sanctioned There's something I've noticed I'm embarrassed to mention But since there's a pattern you'd think we'd catch on Day after night It's always the same If life is a gamble (if life is a gamble) Then there's no prize to claim Who put these rules into action These rules that we follow, by who were they sanctioned There's something I've noticed I'm embarrassed to mention But since there's a pattern you'd think we'd catch on You'd think we'd catch on Since there's a pattern You'd think we'd catch on You'd think we'd catch on You'd think we'd catch on Why can't we Why can't we Why can't we catch on You'd think we'd catch on
