Gasoline and Matches by Buddy n' Julie Miller (as performed on Ed's Real Thin Dream CD) Baby, baby, baby, baby, listen what I say Baby, baby, baby, baby, let me have my way I'm gonna keep on knockin' till the door unlatches You and me are gasoline and matches Baby, baby, baby, baby, when it's cold and dark Baby, baby, baby, baby, you make me feel a spark Well I feel a spark and the fire catches You and me are gasoline and matches You pull my pin and you trip my wire Yeah well you come in and set my heart on fire You knock me out, you rock me off my axis You and me are gasoline and matches Baby, baby, baby, baby, when you make your move Baby, baby, baby, baby, I can feel your groove The resistance of a strong-willed man's in ashes You and me are gasoline and matches Oh you pull my pin and you trip my wire Yeah well you come in and set my heart on fire You knock me out, you rock me off my axis You and me You and me Baby I'm incarcerated and I don't want out Baby we should get related 'cause there ain't no doubt Yeah but when your heart and my heart attaches You and me are Gasoline and Matches You and me are Gasoline and Matches You and me are Gasoline and Matches

I Wonder 'Bout This World by Ed Englerth I hear drums beating out the tempo there’s no direction just go go go There ain’t no questions n’ there’s fewer answers there’s only movement with a sense of danger I wonder ’bout this world I’m actuated, my heart’s a flame the music may stop but the dance remains The walls all fall, we just keep on till the dust settles and times finally gone I wonder ’bout this Love beyond reason, beyond the wisdom of man why God still cares, I don’t understand I wonder ’bout this world – I wonder ’bout this world – I wonder (Lyric by Ed Englerth, Music by Ed Englerth - Dave Dawdy - Jeff Sipe)

Mr. Warrin 05:23
Mr. Warrin by Ed Englerth Mr Warrin finds no quiet place Inside of his house He walks with bloodshot eyes All his thought are upside down Mr Warrin is disoriented He’s sad and tries to frown It comes out as a smile And all his words are mispronounced * He doesn’t understand How he got here He doesn’t understand How to leave Mr Warrin is held captive By his own gravity His intentions are misunderstood All his thoughts are scattered His got a fever & it makes him chilled He can not find the cure * He doesn’t understand How he got here He doesn’t understand How to leave Mr. Warrin is held captive By his own gravity Mr. Warrin’s been around the world Someone always pays the way He always carries baggage That he never claims * He doesn’t understand How he got here He doesn’t understand How to leave Mr. Warrin is held captive By his own gravity

Flesh and Blood by Steve Scott (as performed by Ed Englerth on Real Thin Dream CD) He weren’t no universal principal He weren’t no universal mind He weren’t no new romantic Snowing us that love is blind He never told us that he was invincible He never sold us on his X-ray eyes He didn’t come on like an extraterrestrial Hanging out in human disguise He was flesh and blood He weren’t no phantom He was flesh and blood He weren’t no ghost Never came on like a 3- D hologram Got up hungry and he went down tired He got the anger – he got the sorrow He weren’t a mannequin that moved on wires He never blinded us with party tricks Or strung us out on some astral fix He weren’t no voodoo child Or “gentle Jesus meek and mild” He was flesh and blood He weren’t no phantom He was flesh and blood He weren’t no ghost (musical interlude) He weren’t no universal principal He weren’t no universal mind He weren’t no new romantic Snowing us that love is blind He never blinded us with party tricks Or strung us out on some astral fix He weren’t no voodoo child Or “gentle Jesus meek and mild” He was flesh and blood He weren’t no phantom He was flesh and blood He weren’t no ghost //: Flesh and Blood :// 4x He weren’t no ghost

about

Experienced Michigan-based guitarist Englerth, together with bassist Randy Carlson and Matt Larghi on drums, here releases a live album that showcases his band's trademark inventive playing in all its glory. Rather than simply being a powerhouse trio, Englerth and crew have perfected the ability to explore avenues that lead from fairly familiar blues territory into worlds of jazz and ambiance with the likes of a straightforward reading of the Buddy and Julie Miller song "Gasoline And Matches" sitting comfortably next to more experimental jazz exposes such as "I Hardly CU" - the latter highlighting Englerth's characteristic guitar playing that smacks of Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix, and Jeff Beck influences whilst retaining an identity all of its own.
